What Will You Do
Are you an enthusiastic and proactive (project) controller? We are looking for a colleague who can shape this role in our organization! As a (Project) Controller, you are the primary contact for finances in Project Management. You are responsible for supporting Project Managers in the financial monitoring of projects. You act as a critical sparring partner, ensuring that Project Managers are informed in a timely, complete, and accurate manner about all financial matters related to the projects. Together with the Calculator, you are responsible for processing and maintaining the project budget. You challenge the project team to consider finances when making technical choices and provide them with periodic progress reports, initiating corrective actions when necessary. Additionally, you provide financial input for the preparation of procurement contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. You not only verify the costs and revenues booked on projects for reliability, accuracy, and completeness but also provide input on the financial impact of project choices in advance. You act as the link between Project Management and Calculation. You contribute to the preparation and processing of forecasts regarding the scope of projects, including progress, costs, revenues, risks, and results. You also contribute to the periodic Planning & Control cycle and year-end closing, with your scope extending beyond just the projects. Naturally, you analyze, identify, and report (project) risks and opportunities regarding the financial situation. In this role, you report to the Financial Director.
What We Require
You have at least a completed HBO education in a business economics or financial direction. You have gained 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within a technically project-driven organization. You possess numerical insight and excellent knowledge of PowerBI. Furthermore, you are communicatively strong, able to convince and connect people, and possess a good dose of organizational sensitivity. You have an excellent command of both the Dutch and English language. Lastly, you are flexible, stress-resistant, positive-minded, and find it challenging to further develop and make this role a success within our organization.
